Joanne is a member of these National Professional Associations: The Southern Graphics Council, American Print Alliance, The Professional Picture Framers Association and the Philadelphia Watercolor Society.
Joanne exhibits her artwork in National and International juried shows, averaging 8 exhibitions per year. Joanne prints in her studio in Phoenixville, PA and participates in First Fridays with Open Studio Tours, Window Displays and Group Shows with the Upstairs Studio Artists and the Phoenix Village Art Center.
Her works are in private and corporate collections in the USA and abroad.
Using nature as my subject, I translate my impressions in prints both traditionally and abstractly. I concentrate on design, color and texture using many layers of color and various media. Dimension is also achieved by applying hand-made paper or natural materials. I challenge myself by using different printmaking processes to define an image. I am currently exploring collagraphs and monoprints. When warm weather hits I enjoy plein air painting of landscapes and garden scenes. I paint primarily in oil on canvas.
